from 1pm to 2:30pm the surgery will be closed.

  • Complete an online consultation and we will get back to you by the end of the next working day for clinical queries and 2 working days for admin queries.
  • If you have a medical problem and you’re not sure what to do please call 111 or use their online service 111.nhs.uk
  • If you call the practice between 1pm to 2:30pm on this date you will be redirected accordingly.

Services at the practice will fully resume from 2:30pm. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your cooperation.

Blood Test Delays

We do apologise for the delay you have experienced in having your blood test.

NHS England has been advised of a global shortage of some equipment used commonly for taking blood tests in the NHS.

On the 26th August we received a letter from NHS England advising us that all blood test must be halted until AT LEAST 17th September 2021, except for clinically urgent testing.

Given the international nature of the shortage, an exact date for when routing testing will be rescheduled cannot yet be provided but the NHS will be working to re-book appointments for postponed tests when supplies become more easily available.

Therefore at present please DO NOT book any routine appointments until then.

Patients are advised that where their condition or symptoms, change or get worse they should contact the NHS team caring for them.

Sick Certificate [med3]

You should not require a sick certificate from a clinician for the first 7 days of your sickness. However, your employer may require you to complete a self-certification (SC2). For any illness lasting longer than 7 days you may need to see or speak to a clinician to obtain a sick certificate or for subsequent renewals.

Please do not ask your GP for a sick certificate if you are off work because of ‘Coronavirus’. You can apply for an isolation note to send to your employer as proof you need to stay home. Your employer can check the validity of an isolation note by using the check an isolation note service.
